Δυστυχώς, όπως ξέρετε, η πανδημία μας ανάγκασε να αναβάλλουμε τα σεμινάρια της προηγούμενης χρονιάς και να αναστείλουμε όλες τις συναντήσεις στο Κέντρο μας.

Από το 2006 που ανοίξαμε, μέχρι τώρα, φέτος θα είναι η πρώτη χρονιά που το ΠΑΡΑΔΟΣΙΑΚΟ ΛΟΣΑΡ δεν θα γιορταστεί στον χώρο μας...

Θέλουμε λοιπόν να σας ευχηθούμε ΚΑΛΗ ΝΕΑ ΧΡΟΝΙΑ (2148 του Μεταλλικού Βοδιού), με δύναμη ψυχής, υψηλό φρόνημα, επίγνωση, αλληλεγγύη και ενσυναίσθηση.

Έχουμε αυτή τη στιγμή όλοι ένα πολύτιμο εργαλείο στα χέρια μας, το Ντάρμα και όλες τις Διδασκαλίες που έχουμε λάβει μέχρι τώρα...Ας το αξιοποιήσουμε για να αντιμετωπίσουμε με σοφία και συμπόνια κάθε αντιξοότητα της ζωής! 

Θέλουμε να σας διαβεβαιώσουμε ότι μόλις χαλαρώσουν τα περιοριστικά μέτρα, θα ξαναρχίσουμε τους εβδομαδιαίους διαλογισμούς τις Τετάρτες, όπως επίσης και την άσκηση Τζενρέζι και Τάρας. 

Επίσης, όσοι δεν έχουν ενημερωθεί για το διαδικτυακό σεμινάριο του DO TULKU πάνω στο κλασσικό κείμενο-βάση της Μαχαγιάνα ΜΠΟΝΤΙΤΣΑΡΥΑΒΑΤΑΡΑ του ΣΑΝΤΙΝΤΕΒΑ (Ο Δρόμος των Μποντισάτβα του Σαντιντέβα) και ενδιαφέρονται να συμμετάσχουν, ας στείλουν ένα email στο thessaloniki.buddhist.center@gmail.com ώστε να τους συμπεριλάβουμε στις συναντήσεις μέσω ΖΟΟΜ. Το σεμινάριο θα ξεκινήσει στα τέλη Φεβρουαρίου. Ως εισαγωγή μπορείτε να παρακολουθήσετε εδώ ένα σύντομο βίντεο που εξηγεί τι περιλαμβάνει το κείμενο. 

Μέσα στο 2021 ελπίζουμε, Covid επιτρέποντος, να γίνουν στο Κέντρο μας τα σεμινάρια με τον CHAMTRUL RINPOCHE και τον DO TULKU, τα οποία είχαν αναβληθεί πέρυσι.

The heart of a Yogi must be vast as the sky yet strong as a mountain, filled with compassion to the brim. It is a heart that is brave yet completely subtle and delicate. Only through an honest understanding of reality can such a heart emerge. One does not become a Yogi simply by stretching and breathing deliberately laud and slow!
During these two evenings we will go through the means of generating and abiding in such a brave heart depending upon the teachings of the ancient indian and Tibetan lineage of the Great Atisha Dipamkara. Followed by an evening of practice together.

ΒΙΟΓΡΑΦΙΚΟ ΤΟΥ ΔΑΣΚΑΛΟΥ ΜΕ ΔΙΚΑ ΤΟΥ ΛΟΓΙΑ:
"I started practicing Buddhism in 1978 with silent sitting meditation in the style of Zen. In 1981, I met the Tibetan teacher Gendün Rinpoche and shortly after took refuge followed by three years of daily meditation practice in the Burmese Vipassana tradition. From 1984 onwards I took up practice in the Tibetan Kagyu tradition and after finishing my studies of medicine and homeopathy in 1986 I spent 3 1/2 years with my wife Irene in a forest meditation retreat under the guidance of Gendun Rinpoche. In 1990 he bestowed on both of us the monastic ordination, followed by a group meditation retreat until 1994. After that until the end of 2011, I practiced and taught in the Karma Kagyu monastery Dhagpo Kündröl Ling in France. The late Gendün Rinpoche asked me to be one of the teachers responsible for the two cycles of three year retreats.I teach meditation courses in different countries, lead individual and group retreats, train dharma teachers, translate texts from the Tibetan and have started to write in the "Blue Book" on a contemporary Buddhist approach closer to our culture. I continue to guide practitoners in long retreats, but in less formal settings.

From 1997 to 2012 I was intensely involved in the Dharma house Croizet (Guépel Ling) in France which serves as a meeting place for people interested in the dharma. Leading seminars on “Dharma and Psychotherapy” for several years has led in 2009 to the founding of the “Institut für Essentielle Psychotherapie” in Germany where I am one of the teachers of a three years curriculum. And, recently together with a group of friend we bought a former hotel, the "Grüner Baum" in the black forest, in Southern Germany. As the Ekayana Institute for contemporay Buddhism it serves as a retreat centre for people wishing to do retreat coming from all traditions.Retreats are possible from one week to several years, with continued guidance."

Letter to a Friend (Skt. Suhṛllekha; Tib. བཤེས་པའི་སྤྲིང་ཡིག་, shepé tring yik, Wyl. bshes pa'i spring yig) — a shastra by Nagarjuna. This text belongs to Nagarjuna’s Collection of Advice.

Nagarjuna (1st - 2nd century A.D.) wrote his celebrated poem Letter to a Friend as a letter of advice to his friend King Gautamiputra/Satavahana.

This advice gives a concise and comprehensive introduction to the entire path and practice of Buddhism. It guides both householders and the ordained onto the path leading to liberation and enlightenment. The instructions are of special interest to those who wish to take up spiritual activity while continuing to live and work in society; they are meant to convey the whole meaning of the Dharma to the ordinary person in a language and style that are easy to understand.

Despite its short length (only 123 verses), it covers the whole Mahayana path with unusual clarity and memorable imagery; thus it is widely quoted by Tibet's great masters and scholars in the many commentaries they have written on the Buddhist path.

Khenpo Choying Dorjee was born a student of Khyentse lineage. He was also a devoted student of the late Khen Rinpoche Kunga Wangchuk. He joined Dzongsar Institute in 1992, when it was still located in Bir. In 1998 he was granted his Shastra Degree in Buddhism, which is the equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree. He received his Archaya title, which is the equivalent to an MA, in 2001. He received his Khenpo title in 2002 and received his Khenpo Degree, which is the equivalent to a PhD in Buddhism, in 2004. He worked as a revision teacher (kyorpon) at the shedra from 1999 to 2000 and continued as a head teacher from 2001 to 2013. In 2010 he was appointed as teacher of Sakya Dungsay Avirkita Rinpoche. He also served as Assistant Principle of the shedra from 2008 to 2012. From 2006 to 2007 he studied English at the British Council in Singapore. In 2011 he was sent to UC Berkeley by Rinpoche, sponsored by KF, as a visiting scholar. Khenpo Choying Dorjee was appointed Head Principle of DKCLI by Rinpoche in 2013. He serves on the KF India Program Committee.

Introduction to Vajrayana. 

For a spiritual warior battling with this neverending stream of Samsara, Vajrayana is the strongest weapon to hold. It is a wonderful path full of wisdom, compassion and perfect action. Swift to enlightenment like nothing else, it really is the supreme alchemy that enlightens our ordinary mind.But, it has its own set of rules and path that may not be ideal for everyone. Many enter Vajrayana without having much information about it and this may lead to many misunderstandings and sufferrings. 

This time, we will attempt to discuss these issues. What is Vajrayana? How is it a superior path? What are the downfalls when Vajrayana is practiced mistakenly? And, is it for everyone?
